Life is a walk in the park with these two handsome Tri-Color brothers, Reggie and Sammy! Reggie (right) and Sammy (left) grew up together in the same litter and are the best of friends. They came to the rescue after their elderly owner passed away.
Both boys have a clean bill of health, love long walks in the park, and will spend most of their days cuddled up with you on the couch or in your lap. Because their previous owner fell ill and they were left at home for stretches of time, they have not been consistent about house-training in their foster home, but are learning quickly. They require an adoptive family with some patience as they will most likely need re-training at their new furever home. The best home for Reggie and Sammy would be one where they were the only treasured pets with a human could be home with them much of the day.
While they have some similarities, their individual personalities are rather distinct and equally loveable. Here’s Reggie and Sammy to tell you a little bit about why they’re double the fluff, double the fun!
Hey everybody! Reggie’s the name, otherwise known as “Sir Reginald”, the “alpha”, or the “bigger one”. Looks don’t deceive -- I’m as much of a cuddler as I appear. I don’t mean to be too forward, but if you’ve got a free lap, then I’ll gladly invite myself right on over.
I hope you enjoy deep conversation, because I’m quite a talker. Don’t be alarmed when you start petting me and I make a low, grumbly, groaning noise -- that’s just me vocally expressing my delight. I love it so much, I might as well have “pet here” permanently tattooed on my fuzzy underbelly! Check out this video of me in action and just try to tell me that I’m not adorable. Go on, I dare you. I love my little bro Sammy, and as the bigger one, I take it upon myself to protect him from other dogs, cats, and strange noises in the night by letting out a few hearty barks (much to the chagrin of the humans, heh). I’m such a good brother, I even help Sammy finish his food sometimes. Can’t let that food get cold, ya know.
I don’t know too many commands yet, but my foster family has been teaching me to “sit” and “wait”. They say I’m a pretty fast learner. In fact, I didn’t even know how to write before I found out I needed to work on this profile, and here we are.
If you’re looking for a sweet companion, a pet with personality, and a doggone handsome fella at the end of your leash, then I’m your dog. I can’t wait to meet you!
Hello, potential furever family! My name is Sammy, but for some reason, my foster family finds it amusing to call me “Samuel L. Jackson”. Humans...shrug.
Unlike Reggie who wears his heart on his sleeve, I’m much more gentle and quiet. Don’t be fooled however; just because I’m small doesn’t mean I can’t be tough! We visited the vet for our check-ups and vaccinations recently, and I took those needles like a champ while Reggie whined like a little baby. Who is the alpha here, really?
Both my brother and I love to snuggle up in piles of blankets and pillows. I don’t even mind lounging in my open crate and will often nap there voluntarily, but would also take a lap, couch, or bed if I’m allowed to.
When Reggie starts crooning, I can’t help but join in. He’s a baritone with his deeper bark, and I’m the tenor with my higher-pitched range. Together, we create quite a melodious symphony, if I do say so myself. I don’t know why the humans seem startled by it, so we have learned to calm down as quickly as we started up. There goes our recording contract, I guess.
If you want a petite pup who is a complete sweetheart, easy going, and very easy to handle, then let’s meet up. I just know I’ll win you over!
