Double your pleasure, double your fun; meet Maggie and Lyric and get two love bugs in one!
Maggie is our 11 year old female Blenheim Cavalier, and Lyric is our 10 year old male Cavachon who have been bonded since puppies. They were owner surrendered by a couple who was moved across country and could not take them. They were very well taken care and are both snuggle bugs.
Maggie, has a grade 4 heart murmur, which is not an uncommon condition in this breed. She is currently on medications and is doing very well. She also has some arthritis in her back and ribs, and she is also taking medication for that when she is bothered by pain. She doesn’t let any of this keep her down. She loves playing with her brother and chasing rabbits and the neighbors’ cats out in the yard. She enjoys exploring the backyard. She does take a diuretic for her heart, so will need to have access to outside regularly. A doggie door would be a plus. Maggie is not shy. She will let you know when she needs to go out. She also does all the talking for her brother. She is definitely the leader of this pack, and her brother doesn’t mind a bit. Maggie loves to cuddle on the couch with you and loves to curl up in your lap.
Lyric is in very good health. He has had bladder stones in the past that have been treated. He is the couch potato of the two and loves to make his way to the top of the couch; but wants to get close enough so that you can pet him, as his sister usually always has your lap. Lyric loves to play with his sister and go outside to explore and chase the rabbits until he’s worn out - then it’s time for the top of the couch. He lets his sister be the boss most of the time, as he is the quiet one of the two.
Both dogs have been vet checked, have had all their vaccinations, have been microchipped, and their teeth look good. They take a hip, joint supplement Omega 3. They are both lovable, energetic, and the best smugglers. While they are good with children, they would be best to be in a home with an adult caregiver. They love to go for rides in the car or walks in the neighborhood or park. So even though they are seniors, they want to be active seniors (between naps).
Maggie is eligible for the ShareCare Program which shares in the cost of her current medications for one year, as well as an exam at the end of the adoption year. To learn more about ShareCare, click here: ShareCare.
