Here is Peitree with her new mom...
By way of introduction, my formal name is Peitree (PIE-Tree) but my foster mom and friends call me Pettie (PETE-E). If you adopt me you can call me anything you like except Late For Dinner!
My foster mom has a Cavalier - his name is Teddy Bear. Teddy and I make a striking pair as we walk around the neighborhood in tandem. Teddy takes special care to show me all the good sniff spots.
When I arrived in foster care, I was shy at first but once I got used to my new surroundings, my foster mom and my bro' Teddy Bear, I began to feel more confident and my sweet personality emerged. I love to go for daily on-leash walks around our neighborhood because there's so much here to see and sniff. With my rich Black, While & Tan coat, I look especially fetching when "visiting" the bougainvillea in our beautiful green spaces as the scarlet flowers seem to enhance my classic good looks, or so I'm told.
I arrived in foster care a bit heavy so my Foster Mom has me on a reduced intake diet and I'm making good progress. I am so looking forward to losing these few pounds so I can get back to the occasional treat. I'll do anything for a treat! It will be important for my new family to help me maintain my target healthy weight.
I'd love to join a family who will teach me how to play fetch. It looks like so much fun when my foster mom and Teddy play. I love to race after the ball but I'm not so good yet in returning the ball. I need a good coach and more practice because Teddy makes it look like great fun!
My vet says I am in good health for my age (9 on May 3rd). I am up to date on all my shots and just had my teeth cleaned. They are so sparkling white I'm considering doing doggie commercials about the importance of getting your teeth cleaned regularly. I have a mid-grade heart murmur, but this is not uncommon with Cavaliers. No meds are required at this time. I'm house-trained and well mannered with regular walks or trips to the yard.
I'm loving all the attention I'm getting at my Foster Home but nothing compares with being in one's own forever home. I can't wait to meet you; You will love sitting next to me on the couch and going for walks. Call and make an appointment to meet me now! Your boy, Peitree.
