Please help Tilly ❤️

Remember Tilly, our “Mighty Little One” that’s been in foster care since she was two days old due to having a cleft palate? Well, she’s four months old now and is thriving in her foster home. She’s a typical puppy and keeps her foster family on their toes with her constant puppy antics!

She has seen a specialist to evaluate her cleft palate and it has been determined that she will need surgery to close her hard and soft cleft palate. The procedure would include Tilly going under general anesthesia, where they’ll first perform dental radiographs and a CT scan to assess the full extent of Tilly’s defect and determine which closure method would be best for little Tilly. She will also need an esophageal feeding tube placed while under general anesthesia to facilitate feeding and medication administration for 1-2 weeks after the procedure.

This is a big surgery for Tilly, with a tedious postoperative recovery period of at least 4-6 weeks, but with success, we know this surgery will greatly improve Tilly’s quality of life. Without this surgery, she will always be at risk for aspirating, developing rhinitis, sinus infections, and other conditions secondary to her cleft palate.

The specialist has given us an estimate of $4000-6000 for Tilly’s surgery. We are grateful for any contributions you can make towards helping Tilly get this much needed surgery.
