Ginger in Pittsburg, CA

Hello everyone, I’m Ginger, a sweet black and tan Cavalier girl.  I’m 5-6 year-old and weigh in at 16.5 lbs of furry love. I’m a quiet and sweet girl who spends most of my time sleeping near my foster momma. 

I love going out in the yard and grazing in the grass but that is my bad habit and my foster mom makes me come inside after a few nibbles. I was surrendered to Cavalier Rescue USA after being rescued from a back yard breeder who didn’t take very good care of me but I’m making up for that in my foster home.  

I have played a little with toys but mostly I like being sweet talked and snuggling. My favorite thing is food, treats and more food so I don’t have much in the manner department my foster mom says and I need a slow bowl so I don’t gobble everything down. She is trying to get me to wait but that is so hard for me at this time. I have learned to sit but I get excited because she gives my other pack members theirs first. She says it is the pecking order or something like that. 

My house training is good if you take me outside every couple of hours. My foster mom has me sleeping in a crate and that’s ok for now but I really want to sleep in the big bed. I get along with everybody I’ve met both human & canine!

 I have a clean bill of health from the vet who says I’m heart healthy. I was recently spayed, had a dental, got microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and now I’m ready to find my furever home.
