Nana in Gettysburg, PA

Say hello to Nana, the sweetest girl you would every want to meet. Nana is 6 years old, born 6/13/2018. She came into rescue after she was retired from breeding.

Nana just loves her foster family especially her foster sisters. She is always at the door with her tail wagging waiting to be pet. She never met another dog or person she didn’t like. She met a family cat once, and when the cat tried to come to say hello, Nana didn’t know what to make of the kitty and ran into the other room! I think if she got to know one, she would make friends very fast.

Nana had a few accidents when she first came into rescue, but since she is on a regular schedule, she hasn’t had anymore. She loves to go for walks, and walks fairly well on a leash. She likes car rides, and is always crated for safety reasons. She doesn’t seem interested in toys, but loves to play with her foster sisters. They were puppy mill girls, and didn’t seem to know how to play, but with Nana’s coaching they play together all the time. She also knows how to sit and give her paw!

Nana will be happiest in a home with another dog or two, since she always has to be with her foster sisters and loves to snuggle on the couch with them and foster Mom and Dad. She sleeps well in her crate at night and patiently waits for someone to come in the morning so she can start her day. She definitely would not have a problem snuggling with a family member in bed.

Nana has recently been spayed, microchipped, had a dental and is up to dates on shots. She weighs 19 lbs and is at a healthy weight for her frame.
