Tessa in Portland, ME
Tessa is a beautiful 2-year-old Blenheim who is ready to find her forever home. Tessa came to rescue after being released by a breeder. We don’t know much about her past, but we do know that she is the most affectionate pup you will ever meet!
This petite miss is eager to meet new people and quick to ask for a pat. Being in a home setting for the first time in her life, she has quickly learned to enjoy the good life! She enjoys being around other dogs and is curious to explore her surroundings, but more than anything, she wants to be close to her people. She is gentle and loving, and her favorite activity is taking a nap in her person’s lap. She has enjoyed learning how to play from her Cavalier foster brother and when she’s ready to rest, she can often be found curled up snoozing next to her Cavalier foster sister.
Since coming into rescue, she has been an excellent houseguest, quickly housetrained and peacefully sleeping in a crate at night. She is wonderful around children of all ages—more people to pat her! She has not met a cat while in rescue, but she has a gentle nature so would likely do fine with a cat in her forever home. Tessa can become distressed when she loses sight of one of her foster parents, so she would appreciate a family that can be patient with her separation anxiety and help her learn to feel more confident.
Tessa is healthy, up to date on immunizations and preventatives, and was recently spayed. She would love a family who is willing to continue teaching her basic etiquette like walking on a leash and commands like “sit”.
