Wyatt in Rogersville, MO
Meet Wyatt! Wyatt is a three-month-old Cavalier puppy who was born on November 21, 2024. He is a sweet-natured, playful boy who came to Cavalier Rescue USA through a good Samaritan. Wyatt is a handsome Black and Tan boy with white on his chest and under his chin. He is in excellent health. He is an easy-going pup who quickly settled into his foster home and made friends with his Cavalier housemates.
Wyatt is a curious fellow who adorably tilts his head from side to side as he tries to understand what you are saying. Occasionally, he will let out a little bark that is just sweet and heartwarming. He loves to play with squeak toys, chew on bones, and chase balls. Wyatt is an active puppy and likes to romp in the yard, trying to keep up with his housemates. Inside, he follows his foster mom around the house. Wyatt is a great snuggler who nestles as close as possible and quickly falls asleep in your arms.
Wyatt is friendly and happily wags his tail and jumps about when excited. However, he will whine when in his playpen but does quiet down after a few minutes as long as he has a bone or toy to entertain himself. Wyatt sleeps in a crate beside his foster mom’s bed at night for about six hours before needing to go outside to potty. He is quick to potty and falls asleep again until about 7:00 a.m. On days when everyone sleeps in, Wyatt loves to snuggle with his foster mom in bed.
Wyatt is a smart puppy. He learns quickly and has a strong food drive, which makes training easier. He is working on sitting and walking politely on a leash. Wyatt is beginning to recognize his name and will come when called. However, he will need continued training on basic commands. Wyatt is not fully potty trained, and he will need a watchful eye. He does best on a regular schedule, but as a puppy, he occasionally has an accident. Therefore, supervision is necessary while Wyatt acclimates to the household routines of his forever home.
Wyatt is healthy and up-to-date on all medical needs. He will make an ideal companion for active individuals and families. Wyatt’s forever family will be required to have him neutered at about 9 or 10 months. The adoption will be based on that agreement and not final until proof of the completed procedure is provided to Cavalier Rescue USA.
Wyatt will do best with a family that has established routines and another dog in the home that is easy-going and mature.
