Daisy in Pottstown, PA

Meet Daisy, a sweet 2.5 year old tricolor girl. She came into rescue when her owners schedule required her to work long hours and she wanted a better life for Daisy. Daisy weighs in at just 17 lbs but is an affectionate little dynamo. She is quite an energetic Cavalier who loves walks and playtime. After her bursts of energy, she will curl up in her crate, on the couch or even in your lap to take a nap. 

Daisy is used to a secure fenced in yard as she loves to explore and sniff all of the wonderful  smells in the yard. She is quite the explorer and enjoys going for walks, long and short.  Daisy will let you know that she has to go out by whining or scratching at the door, but she would probably by able to learn to ring potty if taught. 

Daisy is crate trained, but she is used to sleeping in the same room as the humans, as that is was the sleeping arrangements before she came into rescue. She has learned some things during her time in rescue but could use more training with manners. She  barks at noises in the house and runs and barks towards other dogs and people when they come near her territory. However, on walks, she is very shy towards other dogs and people. 

She is healthy and up to date on her vaccines. While it foster care, she did see a groomer and did fine with her visit. 

Daisy would do best with an active family. She does not need another canine companion as long as her family is around a lot. She can be shy around other dogs so if her new family has a dog it would be good for her to meet several times to get used to the other dog. She has not been around cats or young kids.
