Pickles is a sweet, affectionate little guy with a big heart and a playful spirit. At approximately 18 months old, this healthy, 24-pound Ruby Cavalier is looking for a forever home where he can be your loyal companion and cuddle buddy. 

Pickles was surrendered to Cavalier Rescue USA by a loving family that was unable to keep him after rescuing him from an unfortunate situation as a puppy. He’s smart, eager to please, and happiest when he’s near his humans. He loves snuggling on the couch, playing with toys, and spending quality time with his people. He’s okay being left alone for short periods, but he really thrives in a home where someone is around most of the day. He’s a Velcro dog through and through and always wants to be at your side.

Pickles is house trained and recently learned how to use the doggie door. He loves his long walks and walks better with a no-pull harness due to pulling and excitability when he sees birds and other dogs. While his foster parents are working on this, his reactivity and pulling needs continued training and a firm grip! He’s a healthy boy and was recently neutered and microchipped.

Pickles loves his Cavalier foster sister and they are often found playing together or snuggling. He seems to really enjoy having another friendly dog in the home. While he hasn’t been cat-tested, his gentle nature indicates he’d be okay with dog-savvy cat siblings. Pickles is also good with children of all ages. With his outgoing personality, he acclimates easily to new environments, people, and furry friends. Car rides are fun but be sure to crate or strap him in because he will try to jump out the window!

His ideal new home is with a family where he’ll have minimal alone time as he truly wants to be near you always. He loves his walks, play sessions, and snuggles, so be sure to add those to your calendar. And with his Velcro personality, it shouldn’t be a surprise that he wants to sleep in the big bed with you (and he wants you to know he doesn’t snore).
