April in Pottstown, PA

Meet April- a 3 year old female Ruby Cavalier. April spent the first part of her life on a commercial breeding farm in Lancaster County. She was very shy at first when rescued. After some time being loved by her foster family, she has evolved into more of a regular pup and is very friendly with people and other dogs.

She loves to smell all the outdoor smells but is not fond of the leash or walks. She has started to chase birds and small creatures such as chipmunks. She isn’t a fan of pottying on a leash, so a secure fenced in yard is needed for her.

April sleeps in her crate quite well at night – only barking with loud thunder or night noises, but she would probably be happy to share your bed with you!

April loves to race you to your recliner, couch or chair so she can sit alongside you. She will happily watch TV with you, but if any dog, cat, horse or cartoon animal appears, she will bark like crazy – she thinks that they are real!

April is up to date on her vaccines and was spayed. She allows teeth brushing, hair brushing and bathing. She is housebroken but should be taken out regularly.

April is a good eater and enjoys scrambled eggs with a little coconut oil for her coat every morning along with her kibble.
