Archie in Frederick, MD

Meet Archie, a sweet and gentle tricolor boy who is just 3 years old. He is very playful, happy, and loving. His tail never stops wagging! He is friends with everybody and rarely barks unless he’s startled. Archie is enjoying time with his foster parents and bonded quickly upon arrival. He is happy to be part of a pack with two other resident Cavaliers. He enjoys toys and loves to go outside but he is still learning how to walk on a leash.

Archie was given to us by another rescue group who got him from a commercial breeder, so we don’t know a lot about his background. He is a bit timid and cautious about anything unfamiliar; he might be hesitant about trying a treat he hasn’t had before, for instance. He’s learned how to go up and down stairs and is getting more confident each day as he learns the ropes. 

Weighing in at about 19 pounds, Archie is neutered and up to date on vaccines and monthly preventatives. He rides nicely in the car and is housetrained. At nighttime, he sleeps quietly in a crate.

Archie will do best with a loving family who understands the commitment and time needed to care for a dog. He might enjoy another sweet and agreeable resident pup but this is not essential. He will need a securely fenced in yard.
