Here is Athena with her new family…

Meet Athena, a Tricolor Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with a beautiful, luscious, thick and wavy coat. This pup was born 10/03/2020 and so she just turned 4. This darling girl found her way to rescue when her former owner sadly was facing a terminal illness and she was facing not being able to provide the care and companionship Athena needed. 

Athena’s foster family gained her confidence and is ready to relay what you should know about this charming young lady to consider if this is the girl to join your family. 

Athena loves giving kisses and is very social with people and friendly to dogs unless the unknown dog is overbearing, in which case she will submit or look away to avoid conflict. In her foster home, Athena is a happy-go-lucky dog. She enjoys her daily walks and also relishes relaxing close to her humans. She prefers the cozy cool spot at the bottom of the stairs where she chooses to take her naps in her foster home. 

Athena is healthy and heart clear. The Vet says she is a little overweight at 20 lbs but otherwise in good health. She is microchipped and current on core vaccinations. Her foster mom is working on a diet and exercise plan to help her lose a couple of pounds to reach an ideal weight. To manage occasional regurgitation, which occurs sometimes after she eats or drinks too quickly, she eats small meals throughout the day. A slow feeding bowl may help slow her down a bit at meal time.

Athena is ready to find her forever family. She will be a faithful companion in a short time once you have gained her trust and she will give you her heart for your loyalty and love in return. Athena will need someone home most of the day and a fenced yard. Kind and gentle children would be fine for her. She is a sweet and loving pup.
