Bonnie in Southfield, MA

Bonnie is a very sweet little triolor girl born 12/10/2023. She weighs 11.5 pounds, so is a bit on the petite side. She came into rescue very shy and unsure of herself. She did not have enough hugs loving and socialization as a pup coming from a breeder at over seven months of age.

Bonnie is still in the process of learning what it is all about to be a Cavalier but she is developing into a happy, playful pup who loves her toys and playing with the other dogs in the house. She now sees how they ask for attention, sit in laps and get hugs. She is finally getting the idea and has now started to ask for attention and petting instead of backing away, and she actually has taken to being in her foster mom’s lap.

Bonnie knows her name and she will come when called, especially for dinner or treats. She has a great appetite and is not a fussy eater. Her toys are very important as she is still in the chewing stages.

She is crate trained and sleeps though the night in her crate. She looks to her crate sometimes during the day for security, but she also is learning how nice it can be to sit in the rocking chair snuggled up next to another dog. It will be best for her to have another dog in the family.

Her house breaking habits are very good. Taking example from her “big sister” she immediately adapted to the doggy door that goes out into the potty area. Bonnie also will go for walks on a leash, although she can be frightened if out walking in a very busy area.

Bonnie is up to date on vetting and has had all her vaccination. She has been spayed and the veterinarian says she is a healthy girl.

She will do best if she is with someone who is home a lot and has another small dog that she can be a companion to.

She still needs reassurance and socialization, but in time, with love and patience, she will be a great little Cavalier.
