Here is the pup with his new family…

Hi my name is Brody! I am a 2-year-old Cavalier born 12/07/2021. My owner surrendered me due to them not being able to give me the care that I need because of their health.

I am an active pup. I have grade 1-2 luxating patellas and hip dysplasia in my right hip. My foster momma says that does not keep me from running, playing and jumping. I do not mean to brag, but I am the best at fetching a ball.

I will need daily supplements for my joints. I weigh about 16.5 lbs and am working on losing just a few pounds so it will be lighter on my knees and hip. It is important that I maintain my weight. Already I have made huge progress with great nutrition and exercise!

I love people and dogs. My foster siblings and I are the best playmates. I would love another Cavalier playmate in my new home. I love to cuddle with my foster momma and foster siblings. My foster mom is working on me greeting other dogs with a softer bark on walks. Basically, I alert anyone when I see a dog I do not know well.

My foster mom and I love to cuddle. I also love my teen foster brother. My foster mom calls me “cuddle bug”. I love to give kisses and I need my new home to understand how much I truly need love and attention. I love to follow my foster mom around and she always greets me with a cuddle.

I am learning new commands. I am potty trained and I am crate trained, however, I would love to sleep in a fluffy bed at night.

Brody’s foster mom says: Brody would love a home that has a fenced backyard where he can run and play. He would love a playmate because his foster siblings were his first playmates and he loves to play. He will be best with an owner who is home most of the day. He does not like being alone more than three hours a day. Brody is a loving Cavalier and would be a gift to his new forever home.
