Cider in Bethesda, MD
Cider is a five year old female Ruby Cavalier who came to CavalierUSA Rescue from a breeder. She has a typical Cavalier personality, very friendly, snuggly, curious, and playful.
She is very smart and has learned to sit and come in a very short period of time. She loves to stretch her legs and run in the yard with her foster siblings, and then join them in a puppy pile on the sofa for a long nap.
Cider willingly goes into her crate at night and remains quiet until breakfast time. She is house trained and has not had any accidents in the house, but it would be wise to keep her on a schedule, as she doesn’t yet give signs for when she needs to go outside in her new surroundings. We have not observed her around young children or cats.
Cider was spayed and had several teeth extracted when she first arrived in Cavalier USA’s care. Her beautiful, soft Ruby coat appears to have been shaved but it will likely grow out to have the typical Cavalier feathers on her tail and legs.
Cider would do well in a home with a fenced yard so that she could continue her outdoor zoomies, and ideally, with a human who is home most of the day. She rides easily in a car but should be restrained with a car harness for safety. She will need practice walking on a leash alone, but walks eagerly with her foster siblings.
Cider will be a wonderful companion for an individual or family looking for a sweet, loving, energetic Cavalier.
