Here is Georgia with her new family…
Hello, I’m Georgia. According to my foster mom I have the sweetest most gentle soul you will ever meet. I am 5 years-old born July 3, 2019. I spent almost my whole life in a breeding facility. I wasn’t sure how to be a dog when I arrived here, but my foster siblings quickly taught me. I recently discovered how fun it is to run around the back yard and play. I enjoy bones and love playing with my stuffy toys by lining them up in a row. I do steal the occasional sock, but who doesn’t?
I am very laid back even though I can become a bit timid with new experiences. With the right encouragement, I am coming out of my shell. Potty training has been a work in progress. I am doing well with consistency.
The doctor gave me two thumbs up and thinks I am pretty special. She did mention I could stand to lose a pound or two, so I am currently watching my figure. I take walks around the neighborhood and have perfect leash manners. I prefer a harness which is good because foster mom says it’s safest.
I am in no way a watch dog. In fact, my foster mom is not sure I even know how to bark. Snore, yes, bark, no. Both cats and children are alright with me. However, I am less nervous with older children and would probably be happiest as the only dog. I sleep on my bed or in my create with the door open. I tend to sleep in; I am not really a morning person. When I eat my meals, I dine. I like to savor every bite. So, if there are other dogs in the house who might steal my food, I just let them. My foster mom feeds me separately, so this does not happen.
