Gus in Nashville, TN
Meet Gus, a charming 7-9-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is ready to bring unconditional love and companionship into his forever home. Gus has a truly special personality that will win your heart. He adores people, enjoys snuggling in laps, and thrives on the comfort of being a cherished house pup. Even the vet described Gus as one of the greatest dogs he has ever met!
Gus is the epitome of a “velcro dog,” always staying close to those he loves. Since joining his foster family, he has discovered the joys of toys and balls, overcome heartworms, and received essential medical care, including neuter surgery and dental work. Gus is an affectionate sweetheart who loves to put his paws on your chest for kisses, enjoys lounging around, and can be just as happy playing outside. His friendly disposition makes him an excellent office or shop companion.
He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, particularly playful ones, and would benefit from having a canine buddy. However, he does well with dogs of all energy levels and ages. Gus weighs 16 pounds and is at his ideal weight, though he has a sensitive stomach and appreciates punctual meal times! While he’s learning to “leave it” when it comes to cats, he’d do best in a home without them.
Gus would thrive in a family with minimal home-alone hours or one where he can accompany his people on outings. He’s making good progress with potty training but will need ongoing support. Having endured heartworm treatment, Gus requires a family committed to keeping him on preventative care and monitoring his heart health, as he has a murmur that doesn’t currently require medication. A fenced yard and an attentive, loving family are just what Gus needs to continue flourishing.
Gus’s foster family has adored him, and everyone he meets quickly falls for his sweet, loving nature. If you’re seeking a loyal, beautiful Blenheim boy who will gaze at you with love and adoration, Gus is the perfect match.
