Here is Harry with his new family…

Harry is a beautiful Blenheim baby boy and he is also the most joyful, lighthearted fellow we’ve ever met! There’s a bounce in his gait, a twinkle in his eyes, a wiggle in his wag, and a gentle, curious openheartedness in his approach to the world. Just yesterday he stood in the rain for the first time. His utter wonder at the drops falling on and around him was delightful to see.

Harry was released by a commercial breeder when he was about six weeks old and doesn’t seem to bear marked trauma scars. He does adore his fluffy pouf, so maybe he didn’t have optimum time with his mom. His pure delight in every aspect of life has made him a poignantly sweet survivor.

Harry was born on 4/29/24. He’s smallish for his age — weighing a bit over five pounds. He adores his Cavalier foster sibs, the neighbors’ doodles and dachshund, visiting children and adults, and pretty much everything else that comes his way. (He’s not yet met a cat.)

Harry totally understands that being outside in the grass means to go pee & poo; he hasn’t completely grasped that being inside means to not go. Crate training is going real well. He squeals his objection initially and then settles right in. For now, we take him outside at 2:00 AM to quickly potty and then back to sleep until 7:00 AM. Harry is no stoic. After vaccinations, he cries and limps pitifully for twelve or so hours. Then he’s back to his carefree self. Harry is up-to-date on vaccines for his age and weight, is on heart worm preventative and is not yet neutered but will need to be at 9 months old.
