Say hello to Kona, a beautiful little lady. She is 6 years old and in great health. Kona retired from breeding and came into rescue to look for her retirement home.
Kona is well behaved and loves everyone she meets, including the cats at the vets. She loves to sit with you on the couch and watch TV, or play with her foster brothers and sisters. She said her nickname could be Shadow because she likes to be one.
At some point Kona has apparently been debarked. This does dictate some minor lifestyle changes for her. She has a low raspy bark. She will need to be strictly an indoor girl because heat stroke can be more of a problem for her. Short jaunts outside are fine and walks in cooler weather are as well. She needs to loose a little weight and stay on a maintenance plan to keep her weight under control.
Kona will need a securely fenced yard with someone home most of the time. Older well-mannered children will be fine. She will do well as either an only dog or with a furry sibling.
