Meet Kasey – Your Lovable, Laid-Back Companion! Kasey is a sweet and affectionate 4-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, born on 8/17/2020, who is looking for his forever home! Through no fault of his own, Kasey found himself in rescue when his previous family’s circumstances changed. He was raised on a farm and gets along wonderfully with all animals and people, making him an easy fit for a variety of homes—whether in the country or the city. All he truly wants is someone to love, go on walks with, and enjoy car rides together.

This gentle boy is the perfect cuddle buddy! He currently sleeps on a bed next to his people but would love the chance to share the big bed with his new family. His foster mom describes him as a “living, breathing teddy bear.” Kasey gets along beautifully with his foster siblings, including two younger Cavaliers and a very large dog, and was reported to be great with all the farm animals at his previous home. He’s a well-mannered, obedient boy who can be left home alone without a crate.

Kasey is fully potty trained and accustomed to using a doggy door, but he may need some time to adjust if his new home doesn’t have one. He absolutely loves car rides and going on walks—both of which will be important as he continues his weight-loss journey. While he’s currently overweight (weighs 39 lbs), it doesn’t slow him down! He can hop onto the couch or into a car with ease, and as he sheds the extra pounds, he’ll be even more eager to explore the world.

He’s neutered, up to date on vaccinations, recently had a dental (without losing any teeth!), and is microchipped. 

The Perfect Home for Kasey is with someone who is home most of the time and wants a devoted companion who will be their full-time shadow. Kasey needs a family committed to helping him stay active and maintain a healthy diet. He is seeking a home where he’ll be showered with affection and companionship.
