Here is the pup with her new family…

My name is Lagertha. I was named after a Viking Princess Warrior, but while I can be brave, I am definitely a lover!

My first owner gave me to rescue due to a big change in the family. When we moved, there were too many dogs and people, and I was just too active. I am just out of puppyhood with a birthdate of 5/17/23, but still love to play and run around the house. Mom says I am the perfect age and often calls me her sweet clown!  

I love to chase the squirrels and bunnies and birds in the back yard (still haven’t been able to catch one of those rascals!) and to go on walks in the park. So many things to explore and sniff. If I am not outside I love to watch them from the window, and bark to let them know I am still here to protect my human from the evil squirrels!

I am housebroken but haven’t learned how to tell mom but she takes me out to the back yard every 3 or 4 hours, so I have learned it is best to potty outside. After I play with my toys, I love to plop down in mom’s lap,  get a belly rub and take a nap. I sleep in a crate by mom’s bed at night with no problem, and sleep all night. I would LOVE to get in the big bed and sleep next to my person.

I love playing with my foster brother and sisters, but if you are home most of the time, let me ride shotgun when you go places, and let me be your shadow, I would be happy too. No cats please! Oops, Mom wants the computer, so I will let her finish.

Lagertha is a joy to have around, and such a sweet loving pup. She was spayed, no dental needed for this girl’s pearly whites. Other than some digestive distress on occasion, she is healthy and active and would love to go on daily walks with you. She chases balls, plays with toys and plays well with her siblings here. There are nightly zoomies, and she is so much fun to watch. Lagertha loves her belly rubs and will roll over for one at any time. She is 14 pounds of wiggles and kisses, and is eager to share both with her person.  

Lagertha is a tricolor, and has the sweetest freckles on her snout and one hind leg is black colored. Her “feathers” make it look like she is wearing fluffy pants! Her coloring is beautiful, as is her personality. She would do well with another pup or if you are home most of the time and would like a velcro pup to adore you, she is your girl. She still needs to work on the down command as she is so excited to jump up and get your attention, but she is smart and picks up things quickly and loves car rides. Very alert, curious and adaptable are just some of the words to describe this girl. She will definitely bring joy into any loving, attentive home.
