Somebody special is looking for me, is it you? If you are looking for a companion to love and get love in return, then I am your guy! Hi, I’m Riley a five-year-old tricolored male Cavalier. I came into rescue when my owner had to make a difficult decision to rehome me due to her circumstances. I have adjusted easily with my foster mom and her other Cavaliers. I love to play and run (and nap) with them. I will cuddle up to you when you are relaxing and keep you warm when it is cold.

I like to chase a toy if you throw it, will come to you when I hear my name, and shower you with hugs and kisses when you come home no matter how long you were gone. (A quick trip to the store can seem like all day!) My foster mom has been telling me that not everyone would like my kisses, so I am learning to keep my tongue to myself. I will follow you wherever you go from room to room. I will nap in my crate with the door left open. It worries me when you close it for the first few minutes, but then I am fine.

I came to rescue housetrained but not neutered. I had a few marking incidents but quit when I was neutered. I came from a Northern state and tested positive for a tick born disease that I am taking a medication for temporarily. The vet heard a very minor heart murmur that does not require medication. My teeth had been cleaned shortly before I came to rescue, and they are still pearly white! I am on a preventative for heartworm and fleas. 

Did I tell you I love to eat? I get very excited when the dinner bowls come out. I also eat quickly if I don’t use a puzzle bowl to slow me down. I like to think I am a good watch dog, so I alert you if I hear something out of the ordinary. If I bark too long, I get quiet when my foster mom says my name. I come when I am called and will always accept a healthy treat.  I am playful, fun, loving and sweet. Are you looking for me?
