Rosey in San Antonio, TX
Here is the pup with her new mom…
Rosey is a sweet three-year-old Tricolor Cavalier rescued from a commercial breeder.
When she arrived in foster care she was incredibly timid, nervous, shy and shaking. However, over the last two months Rosey has worked very hard to “find her brave,” and is slowly coming out of her shell and beginning to trust humans.
Rosey has a crate where she can go if she wants to feel safe. She is happy to lie on the couch and sleep throughout the day, but she also does well on a leash and enjoys going for a walk or ride in the car. Rosey sleeps through the night in a bed next to her foster brother and sisters.
Rosey is a petite girl weighing in at eleven pounds. She received intake vetting, during which it was determined she is in good health. While in foster care, she was spayed, and received a dental. She has a great appetite.
It is very clear that Rosey has lived a challenging life prior to coming into rescue. She truly deserves to be loved and pampered. Her ideal family would have someone home most of the time to give Rosey the attention she deserves.
Rosey is okay with children, but would do best in a situation where the household is relatively calm and quiet. Her forever family must be patient and committed to teaching her that she is safe and loved.
Rosey would do best paired with another Cavalier or other small dog that she can learn from, as she continues to build trust. She will also need a very secure, fenced-in yard.
Many thanks to Rob Martin (Instagram @paw_prints_photo) for Rosey’s wonderful photos.
