Ryder & Charlie in Castro Valley, CA

These sweet bonded buddies are Ryder and Charlie. Ryder is a 4 year old Blenheim Cavalier born 8/27/2020  and his brother from another mother, Charlie, is a 9 year old, cream colored Cavachon (Cavalier/Bichon Frisé) born 3/23/16.

Ryder and Charlie came into rescue after their owner passed away and no one in the family could take the boys. They are confused why everything has changed but they are both good natured and laid back boys, content just to sit next to you.

They are house trained, up to date on their shots, neutered, both had a dental in February and were recently groomed. Both are heart and overall healthy. Ryder weighs 22 lbs and Charlie weighs 25 lbs. Ryder did lose a lot of teeth during his dental but has no problem polishing off his kibble. Charlie has a dazzling smile.

Ryder is quiet and reserved while Charlie is more outgoing and vocal. They sleep quietly in a crate together but would love to be given big bed privileges again. They are so sweet snuggling together and where one goes the other is right behind. They love walks, Charlie pulls a bit in his eagerness to explore, while Ryder is right by your side.

They are looking for a quiet life with someone to adore and keep them company a majority of the time. A fenced yard would be nice and regular outings to keep them in shape. They have been well fed and both should lose a couple of pounds. They haven’t been cat or kid tested so an adult home would probably be best for them.

If you live within a reasonable distance from the East Bay and can provide for all of their needs, please completely fill out an application if you haven’t already and then contact our Northern California Coordinator, Sarah Knudsen at sayrahk@gmail.com.
