Here is Skippy with his new family…

Introducing Skippy, an adorable eight-month-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Bichon mix who is ready to find his forever home! Skippy’s Mom is a Ruby Cavalier and his Dad is a Bichon.

It can take Skippy a bit to open up to new people, but with his sweet disposition and playful personality, Skippy is the perfect companion for anyone looking to add a little joy to their life.

Skippy is currently learning the ropes from his foster fur siblings, and he’s picking up on their good habits quickly. He loves to cuddle and is often found right at your feet, but he also enjoys his quiet time and can happily take a nap on his own. This little guy is already showing off his smarts by knowing commands like “sit” and “paw,” and walking on a leash. While he’s making great progress, he would benefit from an obedience class to help him become the best pup he can be. 

Skippy also sits at the back door when he wants to go outside!  Although he’s doing great with potty training, he will need frequent trips outside and plenty of positive reinforcement to continue his progress.  Young dogs may have some regression when changing homes, and it may take Skippy some time and patience for him to learn his new routine.  

Skippy thrives in the company of other small dogs, so having a furry playmate in his new home would be a dream come true! He would do best with someone who is home most of the day, as he loves companionship and can get a bit lonely when left alone for long periods. He would also love a new home that will take him for walks.  Skippy is apprehensive of small children and would do best in a home with no kids.  (Calm teenagers may be considered.)

Skippy is currently on core vaccinations, and he has recently been neutered.  He is also microchipped and on heartworm preventative.  He is a healthy boy.  

This little bundle of joy is very alert and attentive to his surroundings, and can get startled by unusual noises. He has a playful side, too, and loves a good game of tug-o-war! While he may be a bit reluctant to be picked up at first, once he’s in your arms, Skippy’s all about the snuggles. 

If you’re looking for a loving companion who will fill your days with laughter and joy, Skippy is the perfect match for you! While he sleeps in his crate every night, he would love a home that would welcome him into their bed.
