Sophie in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL

Meet Sweet Sophie, the true definition of an affectionate, good natured companion. Sophie is a 4 year old tricolor girl who came from a caring and loving home but unfortunately, her owner couldn’t keep Sophie because of a tragedy in her life and wanted the best possible forever home for her dear Cavalier. Since coming into Rescue, Sophie’s foster mom and foster brother have enjoyed every minute with her. They think she is just the perfect example of a Cavalier: fun, adorable, cuddly and loyal.  

Sophie has good manners and lets you know when she wants to go outside for potty breaks. She enjoys her walks and is very happy when she sees others dogs or friendly people. Sophie is not shy! She is a very confident and secure pup who has been well socialized and likes to go places and experience new things. Taking Sophie along on your shopping sprees, out to the park or even a restaurant would be a pleasure. Her foster mom says Sophie listens well and knows the commands to sit, stay, come and off.  Being the perfect Cavalier, she loves to cuddle on the couch, too.  

While living with her foster mom and brother, Sophie has learned how to play fetch with a tennis ball in their garage. Running and playing in a fenced in backyard would be great for her since she has plenty of energy. Sophie is a tall girl and weighs 24.5 lbs but is not overweight for her frame. She is healthy and up to date on all her shots, spayed, has a micro-chip and is on heartworm and flea and tick prevention. Currently, she is taking allergy medication once a day and needs weekly ear cleaning to keep them from getting infected. As you can see she has some crooked bottom teeth but that doesn’t stop her from eating her kibble and treats. Sophie, like most Cavaliers, gets very excited about her food! She is also crate trained where she has been sleeping at night but would probably love to sleep in bed with her new family.  

Sophie is just as sweet as they come! If you are a family who has lots of love and is home most of the day that would be the best for this dear pup. Doggy siblings are okay, since Sophie is used to living with other dogs and gets along well with them. She would be fine with gentle children, too. An active family who wants a walking buddy and someone to play with would be best for Sophie. She’s ready to go!
