Steve in Paso Robles, CA

JUST ADOPTED!

Oh Steve!

Little Stevie, Steve-a-reeno, the Steve-meister. This petite Blenheim nugget just might be the sweetest Cavalier on the planet. Weighing in at a whopping 11 lbs don’t let his diminutive size fool you. He’s got the biggest heart and the most soulful eyes and he uses them to get anything he wants.

An expert at asking for love Steve has two modes, cuddle bug and sleeping cuddle bug. On the rare occasion when he’s not doing either of those things he can be found paling around with his foster Cavalier siblings. He loves to play with his 8 month old foster brother and they enjoy many vigorous games of tug-of-war or tag in the back yard.

Steve absolutely needs a like sized and like energy friend to help keep him from retreating back into his shell. He was rescued from a breeder where he spent all of his time outside and with little human interaction so having doggie friends is a must. He is cat tested and is very respectful. His foster home has three barn cats that he loves to calmly follow around the yard and they have accepted him as one of their own.

When Steve arrived into rescue he had a nasty case of Giardia, double ear infections and flea infestation. Now that he’s neutered and all fixed up he’s ready to find his forever home. He has a slight heart murmur, but no medication is recommended for now. His new family will need to schedule annual cardiac examinations for him.

Steve’s wishlist:

Someone home all (most if that’s the best you can do!) the time

A lap to climb into once he’s decided you can be trusted

A fenced yard to explore – he’s not a fan of the leash and prefers to peacefully protest by lying down when the leash goes on. He is doing great with house training when given lots of opportunities to be outdoors

To be able to sleep all night in the big bed with his humans (he is crate trained and settles immediately with no fussing but would love nothing more than to be snuggled up next to his human)

Lots of toys, treats and unlimited cuddles
