Trixie in Nashville, TN
Trixie is a sweet 2-year-old tricolor Cavalier girl, born 5-21-2023. Trixie obviously has had a challenging life at a commercial breeding facility. While she has come far, she will need someone who is patient and willing to work with her to help her overcome her fears. She truly deserves to be loved and pampered.
Trixie would do best in a home with a well adjusted, small dog to help her learn the ropes and become more confident. She will also need a very secure, fenced-in yard. Once she is comfortable, the loves to romp and play with her pack.
Trixie rides well in the car but has not yet learned to walk on a leash. She is slowly working on that and her new owner will need to continue leash training. Trixie is potty trained and knows how to use a doggie door. She loves being outdoors and exploring. She prances around the yard rain or shine!
Trixie was spayed while in rescue and brought up-to-date on vaccines and microchipped. Trixie presented with a grade 2-3 heart murmur which, based on her age, mitral valve dysplasia is considered the most likely explanation for the mitral regurgitation. Yearly echos are needed to assess progression.
