Lilly and Daisy in Dallas, TX

Meet Lilly & Daisy: Your Perfect Pair of Snuggle Buddies!

Lilly and Daisy are two sweet, bonded girls who have never been apart. Lilly, a Blenheim, and Daisy, a Tricolor, are both 8 years old (born in December and November 2015, respectively). These gentle and calm ladies absolutely adore belly rubs, naps, and food. They are housebroken and have had no accidents, and they travel well in the car.

Lilly and Daisy love to look out the window and keep an eye on the neighborhood squirrels. They are true lap dogs who will happily snuggle with you on the couch. Eager to please, they thrive on pets and affection. While they are crate trained, they usually sleep on their beds on the floor and sleep soundly through the night.

Lilly is hard of hearing but responds well when you signal for her to “come here”. Both girls have grade 4 heart murmurs and got an echocardiogram while in foster care and do not require medication at this time. They recently had a deep teeth cleaning and are up to date on their vaccinations. Lilly weighs 24 lbs and Daisy weighs 22 lbs.

These lovely ladies would thrive in a relaxing and calm environment. They are patient with puppy energy, as their foster mom has two young Cavaliers, and they get along well with other dogs. They are open to anyone who wants to snuggle and would prefer a home where they will not be left alone for long periods, as they have some separation anxiety and love being by your side.

If you are looking for a pair of loving, gentle companions, Lilly and Daisy are ready to fill your home with warmth and affection.

If you think Lilly and Daisy would be a great fit for your family, please contact Shelby at shelbynfields@gmail.com to express your interest. Please also ensure you have an application on file if you have not already filled one out.

Sophie and Marley in Summerville, SC

Here are the pups with their new family…

Sophie and Marley are a bonded pair that came to Cavalier Rescue USA as an owner surrender.

Sophie (Ruby) is 9 years old, born on 2/23/2015. Sophie weighs 19 pounds. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date with her heartworm and flea preventatives. Sophie is in good health.

Sophie is the perfect cuddle bug. She desires a lot of attention and love. She is happiest on someone’s lap. She gets along great with other dogs, cats and all people she meets. She also loves to go for walks. Sometimes you will catch her and Marely playing together. In new places, Sophie is shy. It takes a bit for her to warm up. With reassurance and patience, she will be attached in no time.

Marley (Blenheim) is an 11 year old, perfect gentleman, born on 3/11/2013. Marley weighs 17 pounds. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and heartworm and flea preventatives. Marley has a grade 2 heart murmur but does not require any treatment at this time. Otherwise, he is in good health.

Marley loves to go for walks. He has such a swag that when walking he’d be in rhythm with the song Stayin’ Alive. Marley is so friendly and gets along well with dogs, cats, and anyone he meets. Marley is very quiet and rarely barks. Coming into foster, he made himself right at home. He can often be found napping on the couch, or the family bed.

Marley and Sophie would do best in a home where there is someone home most of the time and in a semi-active family, that can take them for longer walks, but also one that likes some down time for cuddles. For the most part, they both walk well on a leash, but sometimes they pull and are pretty strong. So, the owners will need to be able to hold onto them. The future owner of these babies are getting two amazing additions to the family.

Roscoe in Hollywood, FL

Here is Roscoe with his new dad…

Hi, my name is Roscoe and I’m a special 14 month old merle color Cavalier and I just want to be your forever buddy. If you’d like an adorable puppy to be by your side and snuggle in your lap, that’s me! I am a lover who loves attention in return. In fact, I’d like to follow you where ever you go. I’m also quite protective of my person and my house and will bark to alert you of any “stranger danger”. I actually came from a loving home but spent a lot of time in a crate and didn’t get enough attention so I’m super happy with my foster mom who is with me all day.

My foster mom says I’m super sweet, very affectionate and I’m a good boy. I haven’t had any accidents in my foster home. She takes me outside in her big backyard a lot since I don’t really know how to signal when I need to “go”.  I also like to go for walks and am pretty good on a leash, too. My foster mom tells me to “sit” when other dogs walk past and I behave well. But, I do need help with socialization and being fearful of other dogs. Riding in a car is fine with me since I like to go along anywhere! If I’m left alone in the house, I’m ok and don’t get into trouble.

Did I tell you that I have made friends with my foster mom’s cat? We even snuggle together sometimes. It’s strange that I like cats but am not so sure about other dogs. I’d really like to be the only dog in my new home and I would rather not have children around all the time, either. I like a quiet, less active home since too much commotion scares me which makes me bark and growl. I’d be fine if you put me in a crate when you are having a party or lots of people around, especially children. I sleep just fine in my crate but I’d really like to snuggle up with you in your bed.

I’ve also got a clean bill of health after being fully vaccinated and neutered since being in Rescue. The vet said I was very healthy and didn’t have any health issues.  My weight is perfect at 14.8 lbs and I’m just the right size to pick up and also travel with. I have a beautiful coat with one dark blue eye which is typical of Merle coloring and, just another thing that makes me special!

If you want a loyal companion who loves to sit on your lap, follow you from room to room and be your snuggle buddy forever then please fill out an application to adopt me. All I need is a nice fenced in backyard, a quiet home with no children, for you to be with me most of the day and to be the only dog. Cats are okay. Once you apply, just let Sue Wesson, suewesson@snet.net, know that you are interested in me and she will review your application and give you a call if you are a good match. It would be preferable if you live within a reasonable driving distance to my foster home in Hollywood, FL.

Roxy in Richmond, VA

Here is the pup with her new family…

Roxy is a shy 7-year-old Cavalier who came to Cavalier Rescue USA from a breeder. She has had several litters of puppies and is now ready for a forever home where she can cuddle all day. Roxy did not know how to be a dog when she came into the rescue, and her foster family introduced her to all the great things about being a dog in a loving foster home.

Roxy is currently learning many things she missed out on during her earlier years. She is working on walking on a leash, mastering potty training, and practicing her impressive dog tricks. Since all of this is new to her, Roxy is a bit fearful but bravely explores her surroundings. She will require a patient family that emphasizes positive reinforcement in her training.

One thing Roxy excels at is cuddling. She takes this very seriously and will squeeze into the tiniest spaces to sit beside her foster family. Roxy enjoys following her people around, anticipating cuddle moments. She has a wonderful personality—energetic, polite, and loving.

Roxy weighs 18 lbs and is in good health. She has a luxating patella that does not require surgery. When she arrived at the rescue, she had hair loss due to a flea infestation, but her coat is now growing back in a rich ruby color. She is currently on anti-itch medication and may need to continue it.

Roxy would thrive in a home where someone is present most of the time. She struggles with separation anxiety, which leads her to try to break free from gates and scratch doors to find her people. Because of her fears, she would do best with an adult family or one with older children. She enjoys the company of her foster siblings but would also do well as an only dog.

If you’re looking for a lovable Cavalier to cuddle, please complete our online application if you haven’t already. Then, email Rescue Coordinator Diane Lombardo at cavalierrescueusamdwv@gmail.com so she knows of your interest.

Skye in Suffolk VA

Here is Skye with her new family…

Skye is a tiny little miss who found herself in our care through no fault of her own.

She has been spayed, is microchipped and has no current health issues. She was born 09/26/2013, and so has recently turned 11. Upon arrival Skye had significant dental issues which required her to have her few remaining teeth removed. She does well with soft food and treats though. She weighs 8 lbs, which is a healthy weight for her.

Skye is super sweet, well behaved and gets along with other dogs. She loves to get cuddled up in a comfy blanket and get snuggles. She’ll be happiest in a family where someone is home much of the time. She does enjoy snuggling with her foster sister, so another friendly dog would be plus.

If you are interested in this sweet girl, please fill out our online form if you haven’t already and then email Diane Lombardo at cavalierrescueusamdwv@gmail.com.

Bella in Dallas, TX

Here is Bella with her new family…

Meet Bella, a precious 5 year old Black and Tan girl with the sweetest personality. Bella has a heart full of love and an eagerness to share her affections with a family who will adore her.

Bella relishes the simple pleasures of life. Her favorite time of day is when she can sit down with her foster family and receive the best of belly rubs. She will even provide a little encouragement with her paw to keep those pets coming! She gets very excited about going on walks outside and is always up for adventurous car rides. Bella is an easygoing and relaxed girl, always staying nearby her foster family wherever they may be in the home.

Bella is in terrific health. She’s up to date on all her vaccinations, recently received a dental cleaning, and is microchipped for added safety. Bella is also completely potty trained having no accidents at all in the foster’s home. At night, she sleeps soundly in her crate, though she’d happily snuggle in bed with you if given the chance, as long as you don’t mind a little snoring.

Bella was given to Cavalier Rescue USA by her previous owner because she did not feel comfortable with the other dogs in the house and would often guard her food. Bella, however, is doing amazing around the foster’s dogs, having never exhibited those behaviors. She eats peacefully and slowly in her own crate without food being left out. Because of her prior issues with guarding, however, we do think she would be happiest as an only dog.

The ideal home for Bella would offer a securely fenced yard where she can roam and explore at her leisurely pace. She truly thrives on companionship and would fit best with a family where someone is home the majority of the time, ready to provide her with the affection she craves.

Bella is an adoring girl that is ready to fill your home with loads of love and joy.  She asks for little in return for her endearing affection, but is deserving of much. Contact us to learn more about this sweet dog and start the journey towards your lifelong bond.

If you feel you can provide Bella with the everlasting love, a fenced yard, and someone that can be with Bella the majority of the day, please email Shelby at shelbynfields@gmail.com to express your interest. If you have not already filled out an online application, please do so. Preference is given to applicants who live within a few hours driving distance of Dallas.
